Jalen Page is this week's Gulf South Conference men's basketball player of the week.
Page, the second leading scorer in league play, led the Trojans with a 29.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game average over two road games last week.
It is the fifth time Page, who transferred to Trevecca from Lee University prior to the 2023-24 season, has earned a player of the week honor while wearing the Purple and White.
Page, a standout from Murfreesboro (TN) Blackman High School, scored 32 point in the Trojans first trip to Valdosta State and 27 in the Trojans inaugural game at West Florida in Pensacola.
The 2023-24 D2CCA All-Region selection, produced a double-double against the Valdosta Blazers, adding 12 rebounds.
Against the West Florida Argos, the 2023-24 Great Midwest First Team selection, shot 52.4% (11-21) from the field, and 50% (4-8) from deep. He added five (5) steals, four (4) assists, and three (3) blocks.
Page, who is No. 19 on the NCAA Division II points per game list this season, now has six games with 23+ points on the season.
The 8-4 Trojans return to action on January 4, 2025 when they visit Lee University at 3:00 PM in Cleveland, TN.
The Trojans host the Delta State Statesmen on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 7:30 PM. A familiar face to Trojan fans roams the sideline for the Statesmen. Mike Nienaber, who is in his sixth season with Delta State, formerly coached previous TNU conference foes Bethel University and Christian Brothers University. He is a three-time winner of the GSC Coach of the Year award and finished his tenure at Bethel and CBU as their winningest all-time coach.
