COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Trevecca Nazarene University women's golf team finished their first 2023-2024 tournament at the Champions of Women's Golf Classic on Sunday.
The Trojans moved up a spot with their 317 on Sunday, a four-stroke improvement over Saturday's round. The Trojans finished ninth overall with a 321-317=638.
Jodie Taylor, a senior, led the Trojans over the two days with 82-75=157. Freshmen
Ava Pulley led the Trojan contingent on the first day with a 78, her first collegiate round.

TROJAN NOTES
Jodie Taylor finished 12th on the par five holes with a 5.25 average and 18th on the par four holes with a 4.42 average.
Ava Pulley finished 16th in the field with 18 pars.
Pulley and Taylor led the team with two birdies each.
Audrey Reese and
Gabriela Mead each had one birdie.
TEAM NOTES
The team finished seventh with a 3.67 average on the par three holes. The team finished with a 5.63 average on the par five holes, good enough for fifth in the field. They moved up to seventh in the field with 93 pars and totaled six birdies.
NEXT
The Trojans head to the King University Invitational September 25 at the Bristol (TN) Country Club. Next, the team visits The Pearl Club in Owensboro, Ky. for the Kentucky Wesleyan is the hosted Bill Crabtree Invitational September 25-26. The Pearl Club is set to be the site of the 2024 Great Midwest Championships. Trevecca finishes up the Fall schedule hosting the Music City Invitational at the Old Fort Golf Club in Murfreesboro, Tenn. on October 30-31.
