Box Score NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team (2-24, 1-19 Great Midwest) wrapped up the 2022-23 regular season with a loss to Ashland University (19-9, 15-5 Great Midwest) by the score of 78-61.

Ashland has a 3-0 lead in the all-time series and swept the season series last year.
THE FLOW
Ashland controlled pace to start the game, claiming a 10-4 lead after four minutes. Gus Davenport got the Trojans within 14-10 with 13:35 left in the half. However, Ashland stuffed the Trojan offense and began to build their lead. Lawrence Brazil III scored five straight and later a three-pointer as the Trojans got within 10 points. But Ashland went into halftime up 40-28.
After an early push by Ashland that saw them increase their lead, the Trojans got within 51-43 with 14:03 left, following a 10-2 run led by a Jake Mulder three. But that is as close as the Trojans would get.
THE PLAYERS
Lawrence Brazil III had 15 points and five assists. Jake Mulder also had 15 points and four rebounds. Caleb Terry added nine points and eight rebounds.
THE TEAMS
The Trojans shot 38.5% (20-52) from the floor, 26.9% (7-26) from three-point range, and 66.7% (14-21) from the free-throw line.
