Box Score OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team (2-23, 1-18 Great Midwest) traveled to Kentucky Wesleyan College (13-12, 9-8 Great Midwest) on Thursday night and fell 101-50.
THE SERIES
The Panthers own a 17-3 advantage in the series. KWC has won 13 of the last 14. Including the previous meeting this season 65-57 at Trojan Fieldhouse.
THE FLOW
Kentucky Wesleyan took control early and jumped out to an 13-6 lead after five minutes. The Panthers continued to control the pace as they held the Trojans to 20 first half points. The Panthers scored 15 straight points to end the first half with a 48-20 lead. A lead they would hold the rest of the game as they piled on the points while keeping the Trojans at bay.
THE PLAYERS
Jaden Smallwood led the Trojans with 13 points and four rebounds. Jose Waring had 10 points. Jake Mulder added eight points.
THE TEAMS
The Trojans shot 34.9% (22-63) from the floor, 17.4% (4-23) from three-point range, and 50% (2-4) from the free-throw line.
UP NEXT
The Trojans will wrap up the regular season at home against Ashland University (16-8, 12-4 Great Midwest) on Saturday at 1:00 PM. Ashland has a 2-0 lead in the all-time series and swept the season series last year.
