NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team (5-3, 2-0 Great Midwest) lost a non-conference game against Christian Brothers University (3-3, 1-2 Gulf South), 93-76, at Trojan Fieldhouse on Tuesday night.
 
BREAKING IT DOWN   
Trevecca led 3-2, but the visitors from Memphis took a 7-3 lead with 17:33 to go in the half. With CBU's lead just two (11-9) at the 15:46 mark, the Bucs went on a 12-2 run to take a 23-11 lead with 13:20 left in the half. The Bucs pushed the lead to 17 (33-16) 8:50 to in the half. In all, it was a 22-7 Buc run over 6:56 of game time. CBU hit 9-12 from the field and 4-5 from three in the run.  
 
Trevecca cut the lead to nine (35-29) at 6:08 to go in the half with a 13-2 run that included 5-5 shooting from the field and 3-3 from deep. Lawrence Brazil III and Jalen Page added five each and Drew Blackston connected on a three pointer.
 
Christian Brothers jumped back to a double-digit lead and went to the half up 14, 48-34.
 
Trevecca cut the CBU lead to ten a couple of times early in the second half, but every time the Trojans seemed to be turning the tide, the Bucs surged again. With Trevecca within 10 (60-50) at the 12:06 mark, the Bucs salted the game away with a 14-5 run, producing what would be their largest lead, 19 (74-55) with 8:13 to go.
 
The Trojans cut into the Buc lead coming within nine a couple of times, but could get no closer.
 
KEY PLAYERS   

Trevecca had four players in double figures, Jalen Page led the way with 21 points and added eight rebounds, two steals, and an assist. Tommy Gankhuyag had a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. He added four assists. Jamal Cannady scored 14 and Lawrence Brazil III added 12.

TEAM TIME   
The Trojans produced one of their lowest shooting nights and equaled their lowest point total of the year. They shot 39% from the field, 26% from three-point range, and 70% from the line while collecting 33 rebounds. Each lower than their season average.
 
UP NEXT   
The Trojans travel to Malone University (25-4, 0-2 G-MAC) on Saturday, December 9 at 12:00 PM. The next home game is the final game before the Christmas Break, December 19 when Bryan College visits.
