NASHVILLE - The Trevecca Nazarene University Volleyball team (13-18, 9-10 Great Midwest) lost in five, 3-2, to Kentucky Wesleyan University (7–23, 5-14 Great Midwest) on Saturday at Trojan Fieldhouse.

Today was Senior Day at the Fieldhouse and the four seniors were recognized and each given a framed jersey with their number to commemorate their time as a Trojan. The four seniors are Katie Crutchfield (#30), Cara Maguire (#15), Emilee McDonald (#9), and Maddie Wilds (#11).

HOW IT HAPPENED
Starting the first set with a series of kills, Trevecca took an early lead over Kentucky Wesleyan (2-8). The Panthers retaliated with several kills of their own until it was a back and forth battle. They took the lead at the end of first set which led to a win.

The second set took a different turn. The Trojans took an early lead and kept it the entire set. A series of kills led into another making the score 6-12. The Panthers scored a total of 18 points to Trevecca's 25.

Kentucky Wesleyan then began to widen the gap between the two (12-7). The Trojans struck back and climbed up to ti bit at 13-13. The match escalated in the same manner until Kentucky Wesleyan took the win, 25-22.

In the fourth, from the opening point to the last, Trevecca was in control. Despite the efforts to match the Trojans, the Panthers fell short in the end, giving Trevecca the win (13-25).

The fifth and final set was filled with long runs by each team., but in the end, the Panthers came out on top with a score of 15-12.
