FINDLAY, Ohio - The Trevecca Nazarene University women's soccer team (3-4-3, 3-1-3 Great Midwest) fell for the first time in conference play, on the road at the University of Findlay (5-3-2, 5-1-0 Great Midwest), 1-3, at DeHaven Field.
The Great Midwest battle with the Oilers was goalless until 37:27 when Findlay's Ava Ayers
scored.
At 53:22 Payton Miller, assisted by Sydney Noble, scored another goal for the Oilers, giving the hosts a 2-0 advantage.
Isabel Felger scored to make things interesting just minutes later at 60:59, but her goal was the only one for the Trojans.
Findlay tacked on an insurance goal from Kaitlyn Siefert at 68:45.
Findlay had 10 shots on goal, Trojan goalie
Bailie Fiore, stopped seven of those Oiler shots on goal, giving her a season total of 44 saves in the net.
Findlay's Kennedy Slovak shut down five of six Trojan shots on goal, which is her season high.
UP NEXT
Trevecca heads to Cedarville University (8-3, 5-2) on Saturday, October 7 for a 11:00 AM CST match.
TNU heads to Kentucky Wesleyan College (Oct. 10), Walsh University (Oct. 19), and finish the string of road matches at Ohio Dominican University (Oct. 21).
