MURFREESBORO – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's golf team is hosting their 2023 Music City Invitational at the Old Fort Golf Course this week.
The temperatures dropped more than 30 degrees from Sunday's high of 80 when the field played a practice round. The high on Monday hit just 46 with rain coming down a great deal of the day.
On Monday, the Purple and White combined to shot a 324 and are tied for eighth in the 12-team field.
Ava Pulley is the low Trojan through the first round on Monday. Pulley shot a 78 and is tied for eleventh in the 71-person field.

AVA PULLEY
The freshmen from Uniontown, Ohio was two-over on the back-nine with a birdie on the 484 yard par-five No. 14.
Averaged 4.75 (one under par) on the par five holes, which tied for the second best total on the day.
SARA BLAKE COLEY
Coley had a birdie on the 462 yard par-five No. 2 and turned in a three-over back nine.
Tied for second best in the field on the par five holes with a 4.75 average (one under par).
GABRIELA MEAD
Mead birdied the 367 par-three No. 1.
Finished tenth in the field on the par four holes with an average of 4.40 (four over par).
AVA NEAL

Played the par three holes even on the day, finishing in a tie for fifth in the field.
Played the par five holes at one over par for a 5.25 average on the day.
Tied for the sixth most birdies on the day with 12.

NEXT
Tuesday brings the final round of the Fall schedule, with day two of the 2023 Music City Invitational at the Old Fort Golf Club in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
The team ramps up again in the Spring when they head to the Converse College Invitational at the Country Club of the Carolinas March 11-12. The SVSU (Sagninaw Valley State University) Invitational is March 16-17 at the Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Georgetown, Ky.
Trevecca heads to the Lander University Bearcat Invitational at the Greenwood (S.C.) Country Club March 25-26 and the Triton Invitational hosted by the University of Missouri St. Louis at the Norwood Hills Country Club April 7-8, 2024.
Later, the team sets its sights on The Pearl Club in Owensboro, Ky. where the 2023 Great Midwest Championships are scheduled for April 25-26-27, 2024.
