Box Score NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's basketball team (4-20, 3-15 Great Midwest) dropped its meeting with Kentucky Wesleyan College (16-9, 13-6 Great Midwest), 73-49, on Saturday afternoon at Trojan Fieldhouse.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Emma Palmer hit a couple of early baskets, giving the Trojans a 4-2 lead. The Panthers jumped out to a 9-5 lead with a 7-1 run. The Trojans used a three-pointer from Bayleigh Carmichel and an Alex McFarlin layup to regain the lead 10-9 with 3:48 to go. A 18-3 Panther run pushed the game in favor of the visitors who led 27-13 with 7:24 remaining in the second quarter. From the Panthers maintained a safe distance to claim the 77-49 victory.
PLAYER PERFORMANCE
Keeley Carter was the only Trojan in double figures with 15 points. She added a team-high six rebounds.
TEAM STATS
Trevecca shot just 32.7% (16-49) from the field, 27.3% (6-22) from deep, and 73% (11-15) from the line. KWC outrebounded TNU 40-29.
UP NEXT
Trevecca plays at Hillsdale College (12-12, 9-9 Great Midwest) on Monday before hosting Ursuline College (10-14, 5-15 Great Midwest) Thursday, February 24 at Trojan Fieldhouse. The season finale is Saturday, February 26 when Lake Erie College (2-24, 1-19 Great Midwest) comes to Trojan Fieldhouse.
