Box Score NASHVILLE– The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team (5-19, 2-15 Great Midwest) fell to Ashland University (15-7, 11-4 Great Midwest), 65-51 at Trojan Fieldhouse on Thursday night.

Ashland takes a 2-0 lead in the all-time series and sweep the season series.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half was very back and forth with neither team getting more than a four-point lead. The Trojans came out to a 4-0 lead early on. CJ Penha brought the crowd to their feet with an electrifying dunk to put the Trojans ahead 11-8 with 13:26 left in the half. Ashland broke the back and forth trend by taking a lead late in the half. They would take the lead into half up 35-29.
Ashland asserted themselves in the second half, extending their lead, which they had the rest of the game. The Trojans came as close as seven points when CJ Penha made a jump shot with 13:40 left in the game. Ashland took the game over from there.
PLAYER STATS BREAKDOWN
CJ Penha scored a game-high 27 points and grabbed 13 rebounds for the double-double. Josh Price added 10 points.
TEAM STATS BREAKDOWN
The Trojans shot 46.3% from the field (19-41) as a team, while hitting 20% (4-20) from range, and 75% (9-12) from the free-point line.
While Trevecca outrebounded Ashland, 37-22, and both teams had nine assists. The Trojans had four blocks to none by Ashland.
UP NEXT
The Trojans host the Tiffin University Dragons (9-13, 4-10 Great Midwest) at 4:00 PM on Saturday. Tiffin defeated the Trojans last Monday.
