Box Score HILLSDALE, Mich. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team (1-6, 0-2 Great Midwest) wrapped up their road trip against the No. 7 (D2SIDA) / No. 9 (NABC) ranked Hillsdale College (9-0, 2-0 Great Midwest) on Saturday afternoon and fell 78-51.
THE SERIES
Hillsdale owns a 12-0 advantage over the Trojans in the all-time series.
THE FLOW
The first half was a tightly contested affair, with both teams trading buckets and the lead. Josh Goings put the Trojans ahead on a three-pointer with 6:18 left in the half to make it 16-15. However, as time ran down in the half, the Chargers got ahead and built up a 30-22 lead to go into halftime.
Hillsdale pulled ahead in the second half and did not look back. Caleb Terry scored the first two buckets of the half for the Trojans, and Drew Blackston scored eight points in the second half with a pair of three-pointers. But Hillsdale's lead was too much to overcome for the Trojans.
THE PLAYERS
Josh Goings led the Trojans with 11 points and two rebounds. Caleb Terry had 10 points, and eight rebounds, and Drew Blackston had eight points.
THE TEAMS
The Trojans shot 39.1% (18-46) from the floor, 28% (7-25) from three-point range, and 72.7% (8-11) from the free-throw line.
