Box Score ASHLAND, Ohio – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's basketball team (3-14, 2-9 Great Midwest) lost 106-55 on the road at nationally-ranked Ashland University (18-1, 10-2 Great Midwest) on Monday afternoon. The Eagles are newcomers to the Great Midwest Athletic Conference and are leading the league and ranked No. 2 nationally. The Trojans were playing with just three starters, but are expected to have a deeper roster as they stay on the road this weekend. The Eagles earned their 15th consecutive victory.

Conference newcomer Ashland wins the first-ever women's basketball meeting between the two universities.
HOW IT HAPPENED
While facing the conference-leading Ashland Eagles, the Trojans quickly faced an early hole. Giving up the first 10 points of the game. The Trojans bounced back with a 10-3 run beginning at the end of the first quarter and the start of the second. Eight of those points were scored by Keely Carter. The Trojans scored a game-high 18 points in the second quarter, and 17 points in the third quarter. However, the third quarter was also the highest-scoring quarter for Ashland who had 36 points. The Trojans finished the fourth quarter scoring eight points.
PLAYER PERFORMANCE
Keeley Carter led the Trojans with 14 points and three rebounds in the loss. On 5-13 shooting, Emma Palmer collected 12 points.
TEAM STATS
The Trojans shot a respectable 39.6% (21-53) from the field while hitting 3-10 (30%) from 3-point range and 10-11 (90.9%) from the foul line.

The Trojans continue their road trip to start February against Ohio Dominican University (4-16, 4-10 Great Midwest) on Thursday afternoon at 3:30 PM.
