Box Score NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's basketball team (3-13, 2-8 Great Midwest) lost 89-64 to Walsh University (15-3, 10-2 Great Midwest) on Thursday evening in the Trojan Fieldhouse.

The 9th all-time went to the Cavaliers who improved to 7-2 all-time versus the Trojans.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Still playing with just eight active players, the Trojans quickly faced an early hole. The Cavaliers opened up on a 6-0 run that was stopped by an Emma Palmer layup. Walsh extended its hold to 13-2 before the Trojans clicked. Trevecca made it a 19-13 contest after the first quarter. The Cavaliers scored a game-high 25 points in the second quarter to take a 44-31 halftime lead. Walsh picked up where it left off in the third, as the visitors outscored the Trojans 24-10. Emma Palmer scored half her points in the fourth quarter to guide the Trojans, but it wasn't enough in the loss.
PLAYER PERFORMANCE
Keeley Carter now has six games with 20+ points on the season as the sophomore finished with 22 points and six rebounds in the loss. On 8-16 shooting, Emma Palmer collected 20 points and added nine rebounds.
TEAM STATS
The Trojans shot a respectable 35.7% (25-70) from the field while hitting 5-28 (17.9%) from 3-point range and 9-13 (69.2%) from the foul line. The Cavaliers doubled up the Trojans in rebounds, 36-17 and had five more assists, 16-9.

The Trojans close the month of January with a trip to Great Midwest leading Ashland University (16-1, 11-0 Great Midwest) on Monday, January 31. Tip-off with the Eagles is set for 1 p.m.
