THE SERIES
The 16th all-time meeting saw the Arrows victorious and level the series at 8-8.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Trojans looked to continue their winning streak and upset the Arrows with just eight active players once again. A nine-point first quarter by Emma Palmer helped fuel Trevecca, but Ursuline sank four 3-pointers in the frame to command a 26-16 lead after 10 minutes.
In the opening minutes of the second, the Arrows added on just three points to their lead before the Trojans started firing. The 14-0 run, the Trojans' second in as many games, was spurred by a Kor Fornesa Liu jumper and concluded when Grace Baird gave Trevecca a 34-33 lead. This was the first and only lead of the contest for the Trojans as the Arrows held a 36-35 lead at the half.
Despite scoring a game-high 20 points in the third, things turned sour when Ursuline stretched its lead to 12 by shooting 72% in the quarter. In the fourth, the Arrows kept up their offensive prowess, hold on for the win to level the all-time series at eight games apiece.
PLAYER PERFORMANCE
Keeley Carter recorded her fifth game with 20+ points on the season as the sophomore finished with 21 points and eight rebounds in the loss. On four made 3-pointers, Bayleigh Carmichel added 16 points while Emma Palmer contributed 11 points and five rebounds.
TEAM STATS
The Trojans shot a respectable 40.9% (27-66) from the field while cooling off from the foul line since Thursday, shooting 11-16 (68.8%). The Arrows outrebounded the Trojans 35-32, and doubled up the visitors 12-6 in steals.
