SERIES HISTORY/NOTES

It was the fifth meeting between the Trojans and Storm, and Trevecca improved to 4-1 all-time in the series. It also marked a regular-season sweep for Trevecca over Lake Erie, having defeated the Storm 65-57 at Trojan Fieldhouse on February 6.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Trevecca led 9-4 in the first quarter as Faith Wilken scored five points early, but Lake Erie quickly tied it up at 10-10 and outscored Trevecca 8-4 the rest of the way in the first quarter to lead 18-14 going into the second. Trevecca's next seven points belonged to freshman Keeley Carter, but it was still a 29-22 Lake Erie lead with 6:35 to play in the half. A quick 8-4 burst by the Trojans took the lead at 37-33 with under two minutes to play in the second quarter, and Trevecca would not relinquish the lead for the rest of the game. The Trojans led 40-37 at the half.

The third quarter was a back-and-forth affair, with Lake Erie outscoring the Trojans 17-16 in that frame, but it was not enough to overcome Trevecca's consistency from Olivia Pepperman and Wilken. Wilken buried a three-pointer for the fourth quarter's first points to lead 59-54, but Lake Erie was able to pull within one possession when Lainey Billing converted a layup to make it a 59-58 Trojan lead with over eight minutes to play. This is where the game changed, and Trevecca turned up the pressure to the tune of an 18-5 run that closed out the game.
