After trailing 47-37, Trevecca ripped off another 7-0 run with field goals from Michael Miller, Newton and McKay to get back within one possession, trailing Tiffin 47-44 with 8:28 to play. Tiffin would continue to make big shots when needed, keeping Trevecca at arms' length. By the final media timeout, Trevecca trailed 55-48. Starling knocked down a quick jumper to cut the Tiffin lead to five, but the Dragons kept pushing, re-extending the lead to 59-50 with just over a minute to play. The Dragons hit free throws down the stretch to cement a 70-61 victory, handing Trevecca its seventh consecutive loss.
