Box Score NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University (3-3, 0-1 Great Midwest) men's basketball team lost its home conference opener to the University of Findlay (5-2, 1-0), 86-56, at Trojan Fieldhouse on Thursday.

SERIES HISTORY/NOTES  
Findlay owns the all-time series 12-0. The first meeting came during the 2016-2017 season with the Oilers moved to the Great Midwest.
HOW IT HAPPENED 
The Trojans jumped out to a 6-0 lead with two three-pointers from CJ Penha. The Trojans led 7-2 following a Brendan Newton free throw and with 14:49 to go in the half, Trevecca held an 11-6 following an alley-oop dunk on a pass from Chris Rogers to CJ Penha. The Oiler went on a 19-2 run with the help of five three-pointers from four different Oilers. From there the Trojans never fully regained their composure and trailed 50-26 at the break.
In the second half, Findlay outscored the Trojans 36-30 for an 86-56 victory.
PLAYER STATS BREAKDOWN 
Josh Price led the Trojans with 18 points while Brendan Newton and CJ Penha each added 12.
Tre'Maine Gray led the visitors with a game-high 21 points. It is his season-high.  
TEAM STATS BREAKDOWN 
The Oilers outrebounded the Trojans 38-23 and turned 10 offensive rebounds into a 17-0 advantage. Trevecca had just one offensive rebound. The Oilers topped the Trojans 27-10 in bench scoring and 9-4 in points off turnovers.
WHAT'S NEXT 
The Trojan conference homestand continues Saturday, December 4, with No. 16 Hillsdale College (4-1) visiting for a 4:00 PM tilt. The Chargers, the preseason favorite in the Great Midwest coaches poll, have won all nine previous meetings.
