Box Score NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team (2-18, 2-9 Great Midwest) won, 57-45, over Lake Erie College (12-9, 6-5 Great Midwest) in Trojan Fieldhouse on Saturday.

In the fourth game between the school's all-time, the Trojans earned their first-ever victory over the Storm.
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the first 10 minutes, neither team gained more than the six-point lead the Storm held of 15-9 (10:46). The final 10 minutes of the first half remained a one-possession game. With 2:41 to play in the first half Austin Wills' made jumper gave the Trojans back a two-point lead of 25-23, an advantage the Trojans would not surrender for the rest of the way. The Trojans held a halftime lead (27-24) for just the second time this season. For the Trojans, it was the first lead at the half since their December 8 meeting with cross-town Lipscomb University when Trevecca took a 46-44 advantage into the locker room. The Trojans outscored the Storm 30-21 in the second half, never allowing Lake Erie to pull within eight. In route to their second victory of the season, the Trojans held the Storm to a season-low in made 3-pointers (2), field goal percentage (27.1%) and points scored (45).
PLAYER STATS REPORT
Austin Wills tallied a team-high 17 points on 5-of-12 shooting from 3-point range. Reed Smith (13) and Chris Rogers (12) also reached double figures. Imani Starling grabbed a team-high nine rebound to go with six points.
TEAM STATS BREAKDOWN
The Trojans shot 40.4% (23-57) from the field and 28.6% (6-21) from three-point range. Trevecca was 5-7 (71.4%) shooters from the foul line and was outrebounded 43-38.
Both teams committed 17 turnovers as the Trojans led 9-6 in assists and 26-22 in points in the paint.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Trojans hit the road next week for a single game in Ohio. On Thursday, January 30 the Trojans face G-MAC rivals Cedarville University (11-8, 7-3 Great Midwest) at 6:45 PM in Cedarville, Ohio.
The Trojans and Yellow Jackets will meet for the 21st all-time on Thursday, with Cedarville holding a 13-7 advantage.
