Box Score FINDLAY, Ohio – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team (1-17, 1-8 Great Midwest) fell, 80-47, to the University of Findlay (11-5, 6-1 Great Midwest) in Croy Gymnasium on Thursday.

The seventh all-time matchup favored Findlay who has never lost to Trevecca.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Oilers scored the game's first six points to establish the early lead as the Trojans could not score on their first five possessions of the game. Austin Wills put the Trojans in the book with a made 3-pointer, cutting the deficit to 6-3 at the 16:32 mark. Wills' 3-pointer was one of four he would make in the half and one of nine the Trojans sunk as a team. Wills pulled up for three to tie the game at 12-12 and the Trojans held leads of 15-14 and 18-16 before Findlay tied it at 18. Jaylon Tharpe's 3-pointer with 4:26 left in the half gave the Trojans their final lead of the game of 31-30. The Oilers used a 7-0 to close out the half, protecting a 37-31 halftime advantage. Findlay opened the second half on a 9-0 run to jump out to a 44-31 lead which the Trojans could not surmount. The Oilers outscored the Trojans 43-16 in the second half for the 80-47 victory.
PLAYER STATS REPORT
Austin Wills had a team-high 12 points off the bench which included 4-of-7 shooting from 3-point range. Jaylon Tharpe and Chris Rogers both contributed nine points each, combining for five rebounds and two steals. Justin Headrick offered six points, five rebounds, and four assists.
TEAM STATS BREAKDOWN
Trojans shot 35.9% (14-39) from the field and an impressive 46.2% (12-26) from three-point range. Trevecca was 7-10 (70%) shooters from the foul line but was outrebounded 32-17.
The Oilers had five more assists, 17-12 and seven more steals, 12-5 than the Trojans.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Trojans head further north to challenge Hillsdale College (10-6, 6-1 Great Midwest) on Saturday at 2:00 PM.
The Trojans are on the search for their first victory against the Chargers in the fifth all-time meeting Saturday.
