NASHVILLE – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team (1-15, 1-10 G-MAC) lost to Lake Erie College (12-7, 7-4 G-MAC), 77-51, in Trojan Fieldhouse on Saturday afternoon.

SERIES HISTORY/NOTES

Trevecca and Lake Erie met for the second time since the Storm joined the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. Lake Erie leads the all-time series 2-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

CJ Herbert (SO/Mt. Juliet, TN) connected for a 3-pointer to begin the game for the Trojans … LEC responded with an 8-0 run and would remain ahead the rest of the game … TNU closed it to an 8-6 game with a 3-pointer from Nathan Harper (SO/Lexington, KY) at 14:43 … LEC used a few extended runs to build a 41-21 lead at halftime … Trevecca cut into the deficit when Austin Wills (SO/Benton, IL) made back-to-back 3-pointer to pull the Trojans within 13 (43-30) in the opening minutes of the second half … from there LEC responded with an 11-0 to take command of the game 54-30 … LEC's largest lead in the game came with 2:56 when the Storm were on top, 70-43 … LEC won 77-51.

TEAM STATS BREAKDOWN

The Storm shot 50.9% from the field, 42.9% from 3-point range and 70.0% from the foul line … the Trojans shot 35.4% from the field and 40.0% from 3-point range while going 60.0% from the foul line …  LEC outrebounded TNU 41-24 and created more assists 18-10 … the Storm also led in blocks, 5-1 and steals, 8-7.

PLAYER STATS REPORT

Nathan Harper finished with 14 points on 5-of-11 shooting from the field … Austin Wills also finished in double figures with 12 points and three rebounds … Imani Starling (SO/Nashville, TN) helped out with six points, six rebounds and seven assists.
