HOW IT HAPPENED
To begin the game, Trevecca got out to an 11-0 run sparked by Austin Wills (SO/Benton, IL) who made three 3-pointers … the Trojans lead quickly became 17-3 after a 6-0 run … Trevecca led by as many as 15 (30-15) when CJ Herbert (SO/Mt. Juliet, TN) nailed a 3-pointer with 6:00 minutes to play in the first half … from there AB went on a 7-0 run to trim the deficit to eight (30-22) the closest the Battlers would come to in the first half … the Trojans led by 10 at the break, 34-24 … the Trojans built their first-half lead up to 15 (39-24) to begin the second half … Alderson Broaddus pulled to within six on a couple of occasions including at 56-50 and 60-54 … after Malik Bocook scored with 3:35 to play the Battlers would not score again … TNU closed the game out on an 8-0 run to win 68-54.
