HOW IT HAPPENED
The Trojans jumped out of the gate on a 4-0 run led by Austin Wills (JR/Benton, IL)' 3-pointer and a made free-throw from Adam Webb (JR/Lakeland, FL). After a made basket from ODU, the Trojans again applied pressure with a Jaylon Tharpe (JR/Clarksville, TN) made 3-pointer to make it 7-2. It took the Panthers most of the opening half to make it a single possession ballgame when they first forced a 28-28 tie with just 1:36 to play. The game was tied at 30-30 at the break. ODU set the tone for the second by hitting a 3-pointer to open the scoring just 16 seconds into the game. Trailing 45-36 neither team scored for a four-minute stretch between the under 16 and under 12 media timeouts until a layup from Jaylon Tharpe. The Trojans pulled to within 11 on a few occasions, but that was the closest the second half would come as the Panthers pulled away for a 70-54 victory.

The Trojans shot 37.7% (20-53) from the field, 80% (8-10) from the foul line and were 24% (6-25) shooters from 3-point range.
