SERIES HISTORY/NOTES

In the 10 game all-time series, Trevecca leads 9-1. In January of 2017 the Battlers picked up their only win in the series, but the Trojans have come away with a win in the last three meetings.

After the Battlers opened the game with a 3-pointer, the lead changed seven times in the first quarter … ABU led 21-19 after the first quarter … Trevecca opened the second quarter on a 6-0 run to take a 25-21 lead … ABU tied the game at 26-26, but would not lead again in the half … Trevecca lead 33-30 after McKenzie Kilburn (SO/Summertown, TN) hit one of two free throws to end the half … both teams combined for 20 points in the third quarter … the game was tied at 42-42 after the third quarter … Trevecca opened the fourth quarter on a 5-0 run to take a 47-42 lead … Trevecca extended its lead to 12 at 58-46 and went on to win the game 60-48.

Trevecca collected 12 steals against eight turnovers, shooting 27.7% (18-65) from the field, and 19.4% (6-31) from three-point range. ABU topped the Trojans in points scored in the paint (16-12) and blocks 4-2. Trevecca outrebounded ABU 48-43.

   

PLAYER STATS REPORT

Callie Hackett (JR/Carthage, TN) led Trevecca with 18 points on 5-of-16 shooting from the field and 2-of-6 from three-point range. Hackett was a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line. Olivia Pepperman (FR/Maryville, TN) added 11 points and three rebounds. Brianna Bryant (SO/Athens, TN) and McKenzie Kilburn both had eight points. Brittin Boyer (JR/Sullivan, IL) had a team high 11 rebounds.

 

WHAT'S NEXT    

Trevecca ends the regular season with a home meeting against Ohio Valley University (0-23, 0-19 G-MAC) on February 24th at 2 p.m. in Trojan Fieldhouse. Trevecca leads the all-time series with the Fighting Scots 8-1. TNU has taken the last three meetings in the series including a 64-59 win on January 11th.
