HOW IT HAPPENED
Walsh's 5-0 lead to start the game at 17:25 became a 19-6 advantage just six minutes later … down 13 the Trojans pushed back by Evan Ragsdale (JR/Nashville, TN) making back-to-back 3-pointers … a 6-0 run at 22-12 cut the Walsh to lead to four, the closest the Trojans would get in the first half … Walsh opened up a 15-point lead late in the first half and took a 40-28 advantage into the break … Trevecca outscored Walsh by 16 in the second half to help secure the Trojans first victory of the season … two and a half minutes into the second half Walsh reopened their 15 points lead before Trevecca's 16-point run gave the Trojans a 46-45 lead … Deion Johnson (SR/Jacksonville, FL) led the charge during the run, scoring eight of the 16 points to lead the Trojans charge … after the Trojans first lead of the game the Cavaliers got on top by as many as three before Trevecca closed the door … up 55-54 with 7:23 remaining CJ Herbert (SO/Mt. Juliet, TN), Deion Johnson, Evan Ragsdale, and Jaylon Tharpe (SO/Clarksville, TN) connected for 3-pointers to hand Coach Omar Mance his first-ever victory … Walsh would hit three 3-pointers of their own during the final 7:23 but could not overcome Trevecca's shooting range … Trevecca won 67-63.

The Trojans shot 54% (27-50) from the field and 38% (11-29) from 3-point range … Trevecca's bench outscored Walsh 23-12 … Walsh won the rebounding battle 36-33 and had more assists 19-17 … neither team made it to the foul line often though Walsh shot the higher clip of 46% (5-11).
