NASHVILLE Â – Trevecca Nazarene University formally added three members to its Athletic Hall of Fame at annual hall of fame dinner in April of 2017. The 2017 Trevecca Hall of Fame class includes Mark Foster (Soccer) and Abby Lawson (Women's Basketball) in the category of student-athletes while Angela Sullivan (Softball) enters as the former coach of the Trojan softball program.

With these three additions, the Trevecca Athletic Hall of Fame, which was started in 1993, will has 69 members.

MARK FOSTER | INDUCTED 2017
In the category of student-athlete

Mark Foster arrived on the Hill in the fall of 2005, signing to play for Jeff Carr. It initiated an 11-year run as a Trojan student-athlete and coach. Foster played midfielder/forward from 2005-2009.

The Newcastle, Ireland native instantaneously made an impact on the Trojan soccer pitch earning the 2005 TranSouth Athletic Conference (TSAC) Freshman of the Year and bookending his playing career as the 2008 TSAC Player of the Year. Trevecca cemented his legacy and honored his career by retiring his #3 jersey.

Foster is a two-time TSAC First Team All-Conference, TSAC Second Team All-Conference, and TSAC Scholar Athlete. Foster earned the NAIA Region XI Player of the Week once, and is a Four-time TSAC Player of the Week honoree.

Senior (2008)
NAIA Honorable Mention All-American. Team best eight goals and 20 points with four assists. Set the career assists (13), points (95), and goals scored (41) records. Lead program to a record 29 career wins, nine-win season, and first-ever postseason win.
Junior (2007) Â
Scored seven goals and 16 points, with four assists.
Sophomore (2006)
Scored eight goals with 18 points and two assists.
Freshman (2005)
Scored a school-record 20 goals and 42 points with four assists.

Coaching Career
Named TNU women's soccer assistant in 2011 and head coach in 2013. Produced a 40-27-8 overall career mark, the second most in school history. His 29-13-6 conference mark is a school-record for wins. First women's soccer coach at Trevecca to own a winning record. Led team to the G-MAC Regular Season Championship, and is a two-time conference coach of the year. Â

ANGELA SULLIVAN | INDUCTED 2017

Â
Angela Sullivan, hired by Alan Smith, served as the head softball coach from 2000 to 2004, laying the foundation for the program to become one of the most successful at Trevecca. Sullivan's teams combined for a 138-109 overall record, accumulating more wins in five seasons than the program garnered in its first eight years. In year two of her career, Sullivan led the program to its first winning season since the first soccer season. Her third and fourth seasons brought the programs first 30-win seasons (31-21, 31-17). In 2003 the team reached its first NAIA Regional, picking up a pair of wins while there.Â

The three-time TranSouth Athletic Conference Coach of the Year averaged 27 wins per season, bettering the 15 wins per season prior. As a testimony to Sullivan's legacy, four of her players already await her in Trevecca's Athletic Hall of Fame. Sullivan finished her run as the winningest coach in program history.

Sullivan and assistant Michelle Gaertner's teams broke more than 20 team records - eight batting, seven pitching, and five fielding. They led the Trojans to their first NAIA Top 25 ranking. Sullivan served the 1999 season as an assistant for then coaches Michael Johnson and Rick Underwood.

A member of the Trevecca women's basketball team from 2006 to 2010, Abby Lawson helped lead the team to the NAIA National Championship game in 2008.
Â
Lawson finished her career as Trevecca's all-time steals leader, finishing with 277, a record she still holds at the time of induction.
Â
In addition, Lawson finished her college career with 1,679 points, 633 rebounds, 354 assists, 162 blocks, and 134 games played. Lawson is the first Trojan to amass more than 1,500 points (1,679), 500 rebounds (633), 300 assists (354), 250 steals (277), and 150 blocks (162).

Career averages: 12.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.1 steals, 1.2 blocks in 134 career games. Still holds the single game steals record (11). At the time of induction to Hall of Fame is still ranked in the top 10 of 14 categories. Â
