NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team lost in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference game at Cedarville University, 77-67, at the Trojan Fieldhouse on Saturday.

Cedarville leads the series 8-6 … the season series ends split at TNU defeated CU 73-72 on January 5th … with the win tonight the Yellow Jackets broke a four game win streak the Trojans had in the series … both teams clinched a berth in the G-MAC postseason tournament 

GAME CHRONICLE

CU went on a 10-0 run for a 11-4 lead … the Trojans responded with a 7-0 run from 11:56 to 10:18 in the first half to tie the game at 11-11 … CU closed the final 3:42 of the half on a 9-2 run for a 36-27 lead at the break, then started the second half on a 12-1 run … combined the two Yellow Jackets runs turned a two-point lead (27-25 3:42) into a 20-point (48-28) lead with 14:02 to go … TNU responded with a 12-2 run, cutting the CU lead to 10 (50-40) with 11:11 remaining … Trevecca made it interesting a couple of times down the stretch, cutting the lead to nine (58-49) with 7:13 left, but CU extended their lead to 19 (71-52) with 4:19 left … Trevecca did cut it to 10 again on a couple of occasions, but could get no closer

The Trojans shot 37.3% (22-59) from the field while the Yellow Jackets shot 49.1% (28-57) … Trevecca shot 35.7% (10-28) from downtown while Cedarville shot 42.9% (9-21)

TNU shot 86.7% from the line compared to CU shooting 70.6% (12-17) … Cedarville outrebounded Trevecca 40-32 and also led in steals 7-2
