PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team (1-12, 0-5 G-MAC) lost to Lake Erie College (9-4, 4-1 G-MAC) 75-67 on Saturday in the Osborne Center.

JACOB WILLIAMS

Jacob Williams (SR/Lebanon, TN)' seven 3-pointers were enough for him to enter the career top 10 in made three-point field goals (170) in Trevecca history. Williams passes former Trojan and Trevecca Hall of Famer Will Partin who made 168 three-pointers. Williams also moved up the Great Midwest career made 3-pointer list, he is now fourth all-time in G-MAC history.

Williams went 7-for-13 from three-point territory, leading the Trojans with 23 points.

GAME CHRONICLE

After nearly two weeks off due to Christmas, the Trojans returned to action, Saturday … Lake Erie took an early 2-0 lead, before Jacob Williams found his rhythm from behind the 3-point line … a pair of Williams three's combined with Donavon Henry (SO/Nashville, TN)'s two made free throws gave Trevecca an 8-2 lead … three more three's by Williams pushed the Trojans lead to 22-9 with 12 minutes remaining in the first half … Williams led the Trojans with 17 first half points including five 3-pointers … Lake Erie rallied and cut the Trojans first half lead to two (40-38) … the Storm took a brief lead early in the second half before Williams connected on his sixth 3-pointer to tie the game at 47-47  … the Trojans opened a six point lead 55-49 when Williams hit his seventh three … the Storm went on a 13-7 run to tie the game at 62-62 … the Storm made three straight shots to go up 68-62 … two free-throw's from Deion Johnson (JR/Jacksonville, FL) cut the Storm lead to 73-67 with under two minutes to play … the Trojans lost 75-67.
