OWENSBORO, Ken. – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's basketball team lost in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference game on Saturday at Kentucky Wesleyan College, 81-59, at the Owensboro Sportscenter.

KWC leads the series 6-5, having won the last two meetings in the series

After opening the season with a loss at Trevecca's Pops Duncan Classic, KWC rolled off 11 consecutive wins, the then lost three straight in G-MAC play, they are currently on a three-game win streak again

KWC outscored Trevecca 38-24 in the second half including 25-13 in the fourth quarter

KWC took an early 7-2 lead with 7:33 remaining in the quarter

A 12-4 KWC run put the Panthers up 11 (22-11) with 1:22 left in the quarter

KWC outscored TNU 22-14 in the 1st quarter

Trevecca cut the KWC lead to three (31-28) with 4:48 remaining in the second quarter following a 14-4 run

PLAYER STATS REPORT

Adi Hale scored a team-high 19 points and adding four rebounds, going 5-of-11 from three-point range

McKenzie Kilburn scored 15 points and collected a team-high eight rebounds

Kiersten Hunter scored 15 points with two steals and a team-high six assists

It is the seventh time Hale has led Trevecca in scoring this season

WHAT'S NEXT 

The Trojans travel to Pepper Pike, OH to take on the G-MAC leading Ursuline College Arrows (15-5, 7-0 G-MAC) on Thursday (2/2/17) at 4:30 PM. It is the second of a five-game road trip. The Trojans are 7-4 all time verses Ursuline College, losing their last four games in the series.

Trevecca faces Malone University (12-6, 5-2 G-MAC) for the first time in Canton, OH on Saturday at Noon. The Pioneers defeated Trevecca 62-43 on January 12 in the Fieldhouse. It was the first-ever meeting for the two schools in women's basketball.
