NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University women's basketball team beat Kentucky State University, 70-57, in a non-conference game at the Trojan Fieldhouse on Tuesday evening.

The win is the first for TNU over KSU in the all-time series, which now stands at 2-1 in the Thorobreds favor

KSU had come away with three wins in their last four games prior to facing the Trojans

 

GAME CHRONICLE

An 8-0 run put KSU up 10-2 with 5:58 left in the 1st quarter

TNU turned the table with a 13-3 run and led 15-13 with with 1:09 to go in the first

KSU led 17-15 after the first quarter

The Thorobreds scored the first basket of the second quarter, building a five-point lead (20-15) and capping a 7-0 run

Trevecca responded with a 16-5 run, building a six-point lead (31-25) with 4:24 left in the quarter

In all, the Trojans held KSU scoreless for 6:16 over the end of the third and to start the fourth

TNU held a double digit lead for nearly the rest of the quarter and settled for a 13-point (70-57) win
