Box Score HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team (2-5) dropped a non-conference road game at No. 10 University of Alabama Huntsville (4-1) on Tuesday night at Spragins Hall.

The Trojans are 3-6 against the Chargers all-time. Trevecca welcomes the Chargers to Nashville for a rematch on December 12th.

Trevecca welcomes Christian Brothers University (3-2) to the Trojan Fieldhouse on Saturday for a 3 PM non-conference game. CBU leads the series 4-1 in the NCAA Division II era. The Bucs handed the Trojans a 74-65 loss in Memphis earlier this season to extend their win streak in the series to three games.

The Chargers held a 13-6 lead with 13:41 left on the first half clock 12-2 run to take a three-point (18-15) lead with 9:50 remaining in the half. Donovan Donaldson (SO/Nashville, TN) fueled the run with eight points including a pair of threes. A secondary 10-5 run, capped by a Devin Whitfield (FR/Lipscomb, AL) three-pointer at 7:36 on the clock, put the Trojans up eight (28-20).  Whitfield and Percy Blade (SR/Louisville, KY) each had five points, including a three-pointer, in the run.

The Chargers turned the table to gain control of the game by outscoring the Trojans 18-0 over the next 5:50 of the game for a 10 point (38-28) lead with 1:46 left in the half. The Chargers led 40-30 at the break.

A Donovan Donaldson layup to start the second half cut the Charger lead to eight, but the Trojan didn't score again until there was just 14:48 left and trailed 47-32 after a Brandon Roberts layup capped a 7-0 Charger run. UAH continued to pull away and won 77-52.

The Chargers outscored the Trojans 42-20 in the paint and had a 41-9 edge in bench scoring.

Donavan Donaldson and Percy Blade paced the Trojans with 13 points apiece. Devin Whitfield scored 11 in his return to his home state. Cameron Paulding (FR/Columbus, GA) led Trevecca with eight rebounds. Whitfield led TNU with four assists and added six rebounds and two steals.

Trevecca shot 28% (19-67) from the field and 27% (8-29) from three-point range. Trevecca did not shoot any free throws in the first half and had just 10 opportunities in the game, hitting six. UAH held a 46-42 edge in rebounding.
