NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca Nazarene University women's basketball team (0-2) lost 94-59 to Drury University (2-0) on the final day of the 11th Annual Pops Duncan Classic at the Trojan Fieldhouse.
 
This is just the second meeting between the two programs in women's basketball. Drury defeated Trevecca in Springfield, Mo. last year in the Drury Thanksgiving Classic.

Drury opened the game with a 9-2 run, but the Trojans closed the gap to two with a 7-0 run. The Panthers built their lead to six (15-9) again at the quarter break.

Trevecca scored two straight baskets to open the second quarter and trailed by two (15-13). Drury scored eight straight for a 10-point lead at 23-13. The Panther lead grew to 16 (36-20) and the halftime margin was 18 (43-25).

Drury built on its lead in the second half, outscoring the Trojand 29-17 in the third quarter and 22-17 in the fourth for the 94-59 final. The Panthers shot 60% (37-62) from the field in the game

Sarah Raby (SR/Lynchburg, TN) led Trevecca with 13 points while McKenzie Kilburn (FR/Summertown, TN) added nine points and a team-high seven rebounds. Hannah Eaglen (FR/Murfreesboro, TN) led the team with three assists.  

Trevecca shot 38% (22-58) from the field, 32% (6-19) from three-point range, and 82% (9-11) from the foul line. Drury topped the rebounding numbers 36-29. Bench scoring tipped to the Panthers 44-21 as did points in the paint, 50-24.

Trevecca returns to action on Thursday when they host Lane College at 6 PM. It is the first meeting between the two teams in women's basketball.
