Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca women's basketball team (11-9, 8-2 G-MAC) grabbed a vital conference win against Kentucky Wesleyan (13-7, 8-2 G-MAC) on Saturday, February 7 in the Trojan Fieldhouse. The win puts the Trojans one up in the series vs Kentucky Wesleyan, 4-3 all-time and puts both teams at 8-2 for second in the conference. (Watch Replay)

The Trojans will host Cedarville (21-2, 11-0 G-MAC) on Thursday, February 12 at 6 p.m. and then Central State (7-14, 4-7 G-MAC) on Saturday, February 14 at 2 p.m. The Trojans are 2-3 all-time in the series against Cedarville and 7-0 in the series against Central State, all-time. (Watch Live)

Trevecca gained the lead early in the first half with 13 straight points for a 13-0 run, eight in row from Sarah Raby (SO/Lynchburg, TN) sandwiched by jumpers from Kaci Britt Bell (SR/Mt. Juliet, TN) and Christina Curtner (SR/Chapel Hill, TN). Kentucky Wesleyan picked away at the lead but Trevecca kept a steady gap. Haley Felker (SR/Kingston Springs, TN) sank a three with four seconds left in the half to give the Trojans a 12-6 run to finish the half up by 14, 39-25.

Curtner and Bell would lead the Trojans in a 10-6 run out of the break. The Trojans saw the greatest lead of 25 points with 9:10 left to play, and two more times for a total of three times (7:17, 4:48). The Panthers used a 16-3 run to finish out the game but it wouldn't be enough to challenge for the lead.

Curtner led the Trojans in scoring with 18 points as well as four assists. Bell and Paige Baugher (JR/Mt. Juliet, TN) led in rebounds with eight each. The Trojans shot 39.6% (21-of-53) from the field to Panthers 33.9% (21-of-62), 24.1% (7-of-29) to 6.7% (1-of-15) from the arc and 91.7% (22-of-24) to 59.3% (16-of-27) from the line.
