Trevecca returns to action on Thursday (8 p.m.) when they host Cedarville University (9-14, 5-4 G-MAC) and then first-place Central State University (15-8, 7-2 G-MAC) visits on Saturday for a 4 p.m. battle. (Watch Live)

Jalen Palm and Byron Sanford (JR/Louisville, KY) led Trevecca with 22 and 21 respectively. Tyrell Corlew (JR/Louisville, KY) and Percy Blade (SO/Louisville, KY) each added 11 a piece and Matt Gamberoni (JR/Mulhouse, France) nearly collected another double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.

It looked like the visiting Panthers were going to put the Trojans away early with a 12-4 advantage through just five minutes of action. Trevecca coach Sam Harris called a timeout and the Trojans were able to steady the game. KWC still led by eight (20-12) with 10:06 remaining. Trevecca picked away at the visitors lead over the next seven minutes and pulled ahead by five (28-23) with 3:34 to go in the first half. The 16-3 run proved to be the difference in the game as the Panthers never caught up with the Trojans the rest of the way. After KWC cut the lead to two, Trevecca pushed the lead to seven at the break, 39-32.

In the second half the Panthers cut the Trojan lead to two on several occasions, but each time the hosts pulled away again. Trevecca's largest lead was an eight point (55-47) margin that came following Byron Sanford's three-point basket with 12:35 remaining. Though KWC outscored Trevecca 41-37 in the second half, they never tied the game or took the lead. They did cut the lead to just one (62-61) with 8:03 remaining. Byron Sanford drove the lane on the next possession and hit a layup and was fouled. Sanford hit the free throw to give the Trojans a four-point edge. Trevecca held off KWC the rest of the way for a 76-73 win.

Sanford added seven rebounds; three steals, and was 10-13 from the foul line. Palm was 10-12 from the line and had a team-high three assists. Ken-Jah Bosley led Wesleyan with 21 points and had six assists.
