The Trojans are in the fieldhouse again on Saturday, February 14 to host Central State (7-15, 4-8 G-MAC). They are 7-0 in the overall series against Central State and look to increase those numbers. (WATCH LIVE / LIVE STATS)

The win ties the Trojans in the all-time series with the Yellow Jackets, three all. The win also holds the Trojans in second place in the conference with Kentucky Wesleyan (14-7, 9-2 G-MAC) and secures their G-MAC championship spot.

Trevecca scored the first basket of the game with a layup from Christina Curtner (SR/Chapel Hill, TN). Kaci Britt Bell (SR/Mt. Juliet, TN) and Haley Felker (SR/Kingston Springs, TN) would follow to give the Trojans three in a row before the Yellow Jackets would even see the board. Five more points would give the Trojans a 15-6 run into the first media and the greatest lead of the half, nine.

Cedarville closed the gap with a 16-8 run to pull to within just one point but Paige Baugher (JR/Mt. Juliet, TN) scored on a layup and was fouled and sank the free throw for a 26-22 TNU lead with 3:17 left in the half. Kaci Britt Bell added a jumper and a free throw followed by a pair of free throws from Helen Mitchner (JR/Mt. Juliet, TN) for the Trojans to close the half. Cedarville's Reagan Ryan finished out the half with a pair of free throws for a 31-26 TNU advantage.

The first five minutes of the second half would see buckets on just about every possession making it a tight contest and leading to a tie 39-39 at the 15:38 mark. Baugher and Curtner hit back to back threes to give TNU a six point lead. Cedarville cut the lead to five, but Baugher hit a three to give Trevecca its largest lead of the game (9) and that is where the lead woudl rest at the final horn, 69-60.

Kaci Britt Bell led the Trojans in scoring with 16 points. Christina Curtner added 13 points and four rebounds. Sarah Raby (SO/Lynchburg, TN) and Paighe Baugher also saw four rebounds. Helen Mitchner hit double digits in scoring with 10.

Trevecca shot 24-of-55 (43.6%) from the field, 7-of-22 (31.8%) behind the arc, and 14-of-18 (77.8%) at the line. They saw 26 total rebounds to Cedarville's 41, 14 steals to Cedarville's four, and forced 21 turnovers while the Jackets forced 11.ÂÂ
