Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca men's basketball team (1-2) lost 66-56 at home to Christian Brothers University (1-2) at the Trojan Fieldhouse on Thursday.

Trevecca turns around and plays at the University of Alabama Huntsville on Friday and Saturday, making that three consecutive days playing.

Jalen Palm (SR/Louisville, KY) led three Trojans in double figure scoring with 16 points on 4-6 shooting from three-point range. Mac Walden (SR/Versailles, KY) (12) and Byron Sanford (SR/Louisville, KY) (10) also hit double figures. Sanford had a double-double with 12 rebounds and added three assists and two steals. Jacob Williams (SO/Lebanon, TN) had nine points and eight rebounds.

Trevecca shot 33.9% (21-62) from the field and hit 34.8% (8-23) from three-point range. From the line Trevecca hit just 42.9% (6-14). CBU outrebounded the Trojans 46-44.

Trevecca led 32-23 at the half, but Christian Brothers outscored Trevecca 43-24 in the second half. CBU had a 30-24 edge in scoring in the paint and 10-3 on points scored on turnover.

The first basket of the game didn't come until Byron Sanford scored on a layup with 17:19 left in the first half. Trevecca scored again on back-to-back three pointers from Mac Walden and Jalen Palm for a 8-0 lead with 16:03 left in the half. Adam Dieball scored the Bucs first basket on a layup with 15:19 left in the half.

With the score 10-4, Jalen Palm and Mac Walden hit back-to-back three's again for a 12-point (16-4) Trevecca lead. Byron Sanford hit a pair of free throws with 9:34 on the clock for a 13-point lead at 23-10.

At the break the Trojans held a 9-point, 32-23, lead.

Trevecca built its lead to 11 points again (41-30) on a three-pointer from Jalen Palm with 16:08 to go. It appeared the Trojans had weathered a Buc surge to start the second half that witnessed the Trojans led cut to seven.

The Bucs cut the Trojan lead to four (41-37) with a 7-0 run at the 13:54 mark. Trevecca led 45-39 with 12:37 left, but the Bucs scored five straight to cut it to one at 45-44 with 10:23 left. A Michael Lang (SR/Chicago, IL) layup appeared to revive the Trojans with 9:05 to go and a 47-44 lead, but the Trojans would not score again for nearly six minutes. The next basket came at the 3:09 mark when Jalen Palm scored on a layup, but the basket came after CBU had scored 11 straight to build an 8-point 55-47 lead at the 3:52 mark.

 Trevecca cut the lead do just five on a Jacob Williams three-pointer, but the Bucs pushed the lead to 12 and settled for a 11-point 66-56 win.
