Box Score WILBERFORCE, Ohio – The Trevecca women's basketball team (7-8,4-1 G-MAC) picked up a 76-69 road win at Central State (3-10, 1-4 G-MAC) on Thursday. That win puts Trevecca at 7-0 against Central State all-time.

The Trojans will continue on the road to Cedarville (13-2, 4-0 G-MAC) Saturday, January 17 at 1:00 p.m. This game will be quite the event as Trevecca is split with Cedarville, 2-2 all time.

Early in the first half the Marauders brought the game to a tie, seven all. Haley Felker (SR/Kingston Springs, TN) landed a three that put the Trojans on top for the remainder of the half. In fact, Trevecca built a 12-point (28-16) with 4:46 to go. The Marauders were not fazed and answered with a 11-2 run to finish out the half, cutting the Trojan lead to just three, 30-27, at the break.

Both teams fought for the lead in the second half. Central State cut the Trojan lead to just one several times early in the half and tied the game at 39-39 with 14:14 remaining in the half and again at 43-43 with 13:13 on the clock. Each time the Trojans pushed the lead to four. The Marauders responded again and eventually took the lead at 55-53 with 9:51 to play.

Kaci Britt Bell scored on a layup to tie the game at 55-55 before Kourtni Perry pushed CSU ahead again by one (56-55) with a free throw a tthe 8:18 mark. Helen Mitchner put the Trojans ahead with a two-point field goal with 7:55 left and then a three pointer with 7:20 to go.ÂÂ

From there the Trojans built a lead of seven on a couple of occassions before settling for a seven point win, 76-69.

Mitchner led the Trojans in scoring with 14 points shooting at 71.4%. Paige Baugher (JR/Mt. Juliet, TN) and Briana McDonald (SO/Tullahoma, TN) scored 12 points each. Kaci Britt Bell (SR/Mt. Juliet, TN) led boards with nine and bucketed 11 points. Paige Baugher contributed 12 points.

Trevecca shot 21 second half free throws, hitting on 18 for a 85.7% in the half. for the game, the Trojans hit 72.4% (21-29) from the line.
