Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Trevecca Nazarene University men's basketball team (7-19) lost in their opening game at the the 2014 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Tournament. Second seeded Kentucky Wesleyan College (21-8) ended the Trojans tournament hopes and season with a 105-56 win over the Trojans.

Trevecca fell to 0-3 versus the Panthers all time in a game that was played at the Rex Pyles Arena on the Alderson Broaddus University campus in Philippi, W.Va.

Trevecca fell behind 12-2 to the G-MAC preseason favorites and never recovered. By the half the Panthers led 55-16. The Panthers outscored the Trojans 50-40 in the second half for a 105-55 final score. ÂÂ

It is only the third time the Trojans have given up 100 points this season. The other two were early in November and in back-to-back games. Trevecca lost 104-78 to North Alabama on November 12th and 110-106 to Tusculum College on November 15th.

Trevecca shot 30% (21-69) from the field for the game and just 18% (6-33) in the first half. Trevecca hit 27% (8-29) from three-point range, just 1-of-10 in the first half. TNU hit 6-of-9 from the foul line.

Nick Drake (13) and Taylor Clay (11) were the only Trojans to reach double figures in scoring.

Trevecca was outscored in the paint 54-24 and 52-24 off the bench. KWC outrebounded Trevecca 56-30.

Donovan Johnson led seven Panthers in double figure scoring with 19.

The loss end the season for Trevecca. The Trojans did not have any seniors on the roster.
