NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Trevecca women's basketball team (2-4) snapped a four-game losing streak with a 67-46 victory over Alabama-Huntsville (3-3) Monday night at the Trojan Fieldhouse.

The Trojans open Great Midwest Athletic Conference play Thursday night at Salem International University (0-7). Tip-off at T. Edward Davis Gymnasium is 5 p.m.
 
Trevecca started slowly Monday night, as the Chargers knocked down five 3-pointers in the first nine minutes to build a 19-9 lead with just under 11 minutes left until halftime. An 8-0 Trojan run cut it to 19-18, but a 3-pointer by the Chargers' Dina Saunders ended the run, and UAH took a 29-27 lead into the break.
 
The Trojans finally took their first lead of the night as Paige Baugher (JR/Mt. Juliet, Tenn.), Kaci Britt Bell (SR/Mt. Juliet, Tenn.), and Christina Curtner (SR/Chapel Hill, Tenn.) knocked down back-to-back-to-back 3-pointers as part of a 12-0 run that gave Trevecca a 44-36 lead with 12:44 left. The Trojans would never trail again, with the final margin the largest lead of the night. UAH made just 4-of-24 shots in the second half, after knocked down better than 47% of their shots in the first half, including 7-of-13 from 3-point range. 
 
Baugher led three Trojans in double figures with 16 points, and added eight assists, five rebounds, and four steals. Curtner added 15 points, five assists, and four rebounds, and Bell contributed 11 points, seven rebounds, and two steals. Shannon Steinert led UAH with 14 points.
 
Trevecca shot 39.2% (20-of-51) from the field, 32.1% (9-of-28) from 3-point range, and 66.7% (18-of-27) from the free throw line. Alabama-Huntsville ended up at 30.2% (13-of-43) from the floor, 40.9% (9-of-22) from behind the arc, and 73.3% (11-of-15) from the charity stripe.
 
The Trojans finished with a 34-33 rebounding edge, a 24-11 advantage in bench scoring, and committed just 10 turnovers compared to 23 for the Chargers.
