Box Score NASHVILLE – Trevecca Nazarene (5-10) rallied then held off Cedarville (7-7) for a 74-70 win in the first-ever Great Midwest Athletic Conference men's basketball game Monday night at the Trojan Fieldhouse. Marquise Rudolph scored 30 points; he is the third different Trojan to score 30 points in each of the last three games.

Maliek Daniels scored 34 at Lincoln Memorial and JP Nyadaro scored 32 against Notre Dame College.

In the first half, after an early 8-3 lead for Trevecca, Cedarville would go on a 15-5 run to gain an 18-13 lead following a Zimmy Nwogbo dunk with 11:48 left. Zach Brown converted 2 three-pointers in the stretch as well.ÂÂ

Trevecca would rally to cut the deficit to one (20-19) after a Rudolph three-pointer with 8:11 left in the half.

Rudolph would hit another shot from downtown, this time as the clock expired bringing the halftime score to 37-35 Cedarville.

The second half would remain close until a 6-0 run by Trevecca started by a Nick Drake three-pointer with 11:57 left gave TNU a lead it would never relinquish.

Cedarville would get within one point of Trevecca's lead twice, but could not take the lead. Zach Brown led the Yellow Jackets with 23 points hitting 5-of-9 from three-point range while Brian Grant and Daniel Hickman added 11 and 10 points, respectively.ÂÂ

TNU held CU to 37.5% (9-of-24) shooting in the second half.

Rudolph, a senior from Clarksville, was 4-of-7 from three-point range and added four rebounds, four assists and two steals. Drake added 14 points, two steals, seven assists while hitting 3-of-4 from three-point range. Daniels also reached double-figures in scoring with 14 points. He added four rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal.

As a team Trevecca shot 50% (25-50) from the field, 52% (11-21) from three-point range, and 68% (13-19) from the foul line.

Trevecca will host Central State University (8-5) in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference game on Saturday, January 12 at 4 p.m.
