Box Score JACKSON, Tenn. - No. 19 Trevecca (21-10) visited No. 1 Union (31-1) in the Semifinal round of the TranSouth Tournament on Friday night.

Christian Gibson (Mt. Juliet, Tenn.) eclipsed the 1000 career scoring mark tonight. Gibson, a senior point guard, became the third Trojan on this year's team he 11th all-time to reach the scoring milestone.

Union opened the game with a 15-5 run, and later led 25-12 wi th 11:58 to go in the half. Union held the double figure lead at halftime 43-32.

Trevecca used a 12-0 run to start the second half and pulled ahead (44-43)for the first time in the game. The game remained close and was tied at 52 when Rachel Raby hit a field goal at the 11:54 mark. The Trojans scored just one point over the next four minutes of play and the Bulldogs pushed ahead 61-53. The Trojans held it close until the Bulldogs pulled away over the last two minutes for the 86-69 win.

Christian Gibson and Union's Jessica Graves Kaitlin Dudley all scored a game-high 22 points. London Elie (11) and Rachel Raby (10), Trevecca's freshmen post players, both scored in double figures as well. Gibson also had a game-high seven rebounds and four steals. The senior also added three assists and a block while hitting 8-11 from the field, 2-5 from 3-point range, and all four free throws. Abby Lawson had a team-high six assists.

Trevecca shot 24-50 (48%) from the field, 5-15 (33%) from 3-point range, and 16-25 (64%) from the free throw line. Union led the rebounding battle 33-29. Trevecca had the edge in bench scoring 23-5.

Union, the defending NAIA and TranSouth Champions, will host the Championship game on Monday at Fred Delay Gym. Trevecca will await their bid and seeding in the NAIA Women's Basketball Division 1 National Championships. The tournament begins March 17 in Jackson, Tenn. at Oman Arena. The bids and seeding will be announced on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
