NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The No. 12 Trevecca Trojans (16-5,
8-1 TSAC) defeated Blue
Mountain College (8-19, 1-9 TranSouth) 98-64 on Saturday at Moore Gym.Â

The Trojans jumped out to an early 7-2 lead, and then,
after a bucket by the Toppers, went on an 11-0 run to go up 18-4 with
10:40 to play in the first half. With the score 21-8, Blue Mountain got a
rare 4-point play from Candace Davis to make it a 21-12 game. But the
Trojans answered with an 8-0 run to push the lead back to 29-12 and from
there pulled away to a 45-23 halftime lead that was never threatened.Â

London Elie led Trevecca with 13 points off the bench,
and the 6-3 freshman added six rebounds. Abby Lawson contributed 12
points, along with 10 rebounds and five assists, and Christian Gibson
added 12 points, four assists, and five steals. Anna Lisa Powell led
the Toppers with 12 points.

The Trojans shot 53% (35-66) for the game, which
included 6-16 (38%) from 3-point range, while Blue Mountain struggled
mightily, making just 17-77 (22%) from the field, including 17% (7-42)
from 3-point range.Â
