In the first
half, the Bulldogs jumped ahead early, starting the game on an 8-1 run
out of the
gate, stretching their lead to 15 at 20-5 with 10:43 to play in the
first half. The Bulldogs would lead by as many as 18 at 32-14 with 3:13
remaining,
but the Trojans closed the half on a 9-4 spurt to cut the deficit to
36-25 at the break. Cumberland opened the second half on a 14-2 run to
stretch
the lead to 23 with 15:06 to go in the game. The teams continued to
trade baskets for the next several minutes with Cumberland leading
64-44 with 8:55
to go. Over the final minutes of the game, the Trojans could not cut
into the deficit, as Cumberland continued to shoot well from the floor,
and the
Bulldogs pulled out the win, 83-66.

Three Trojans
scored in double figures, led by Brian Oduor and Michael France, who
each put up
14 points. Matthew Elliott added 12 points, and Christopher Harris
posted 11 points and a team high five rebounds. De'Jon Everson dished
out six
assists in his final game as a Trojan to lead the team. As a team,
Trevecca shot 25-of-48 (52.1%) from the floor, 6-of-15 (40%) from long
range, and
10-of-17 (58.8%) from the foul line.
