JACKSON, Tenn. - NAIA No. 10 Trevecca (21-6, 10-4 TranSouth) traveled to Jackson, Tenn. on Tuesday to
take on the NAIA No. 1 Union University Bulldogs (27-1, 14-0 TranSouth), dropping the game to the Bulldogs 88-70.

Trevecca
came out on fire early, taking an early 9-6 lead, but Union responded
with a 13-0 run to take the lead at 19-9. Trevecca remained competitive
for the remainder of the half, but the Bulldogs would take a 49-36 lead
into the locker room at the half. In the second half, the Trojans cut
the deficit to eight, but Kayla Hudson hit back-to-back three pointers
as a part of a 7-0 run that stretched the lead out to 17. The lead
would hit 20 points moments later, and the Trojans would get no closer
than 14 the rest of the way, as Union took the win 88-70.

Abby Lawson led the Trojans with 24 points and nine rebounds, while Jennifer Bognar added 18 points of her own.

As
a team, the Trojans shot 21-of-53 (39.6%) from the floor, 6-of-14
(42.9%) from long distance, and 22-of-33 (66.7%) from the foul line.

returns home on Thursday night to host the Mid-Continent Cougars (3-22,
