AZUSA, Calif. - #RV Trevecca (2-2) headed out to
California for the weekend, taking on the No. 17 Azusa Pacific Cougars (3-2) on Thursday night,
falling by a score of 84-71.

The
Trojans and Cougars battled hard early, with the
Trojans taking a 24-22 lead with 6:31 remaining in the first half. The
Cougars responded with a 12-0 run that gave Azusa the 34-24 lead with
2:41 to
play. The Trojans used an 8-2 spurt to cut the deficit to four at
36-32, but Azusa Pacific closed out the half with six unanswered
points, taking a
42-32 lead into the locker room. In the early portion of the second
half, the Cougars stabilized their lead, and the Trojans never got
closer than nine
points, falling 84-71.

As
a team, the Trojans shot 28-of-47 (59.6%) from the
floor, 9-of-15 (60%) from beyond the arc, and 6-9 (66.7%) from the
charity stripe. The Trojans outshot the Cougars from the floor, from
three-point
range, and from the Charity stripe, but Trevecca turned the ball over
21 times in the loss.

Christian (1-2) on Friday Night at 9:30, and #RV Point Loma Nazarene
(1-1) on Saturday night at
7:30 p.m.
