Angie Tusler joined the Trevecca Nazarene University women’s basketball staff ahead of the 2025–26 season, bringing successful collegiate playing experience, coaching expertise, and a strong background in player development to the Hill.
Tusler was a four-year scholarship student-athlete at the University of Northern Iowa, where she helped guide the Panthers to the 2017 NCAA Tournament, just the third NCAA appearance in program history. She excelled both on the court and in the classroom, earning numerous honors throughout her career.
A four-time Missouri Valley Conference Commissioner’s Academic Excellence Award winner and four-time MVC Honor Roll honoree, Tusler was selected to the 2017 WBCA Allstate Good Works Team, which recognizes student-athletes for their community service and leadership. She was also awarded the Dr. Charlotte West Scholar-Athlete Award, presented to one male and one female student-athlete in the MVC each year for excellence in academics, athletics, service, and leadership.
Before UNI, Tusler was a standout at Maple Grove High School in Minnesota, where she earned all-conference honors as a junior and senior and was an all-state selection as a senior. She was also chosen to compete in the Minnesota All-State Game.
Tusler brings a versatile range of coaching experience at the college, high school, and AAU levels. She spent two seasons as an Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach at Bethel University (Minn.), preceded by one year as the head varsity coach at Blake High School and one year as an assistant coach at Eden Prairie High School, one of Minnesota’s premier prep programs.
She has also been heavily involved in grassroots basketball, serving as a head coach for AAU girls’ basketball programs for eight years, including working alongside her husband, Bridge, as recruiting coordinators for the Crossfire Girls Basketball program.
Tusler holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary/Middle Level Education from the University of Northern Iowa and a Master’s degree in Elementary Mathematics from Western Governors University.
Angie is married to fellow Trevecca assistant coach Bridge Tusler, and together they have two sons, Phenix and Treasure, along with their dog, Kima. After living in Minnesota their entire lives, the TUSLERS recently moved to Nashville. Angie has also served as an elementary school teacher for the past eight years prior to coming to Trevecca.
