Played in seven events with 17 rounds ... her season scoring average of 83.94 is a career-best ... finished ninth at the Music City Invitational (MCI), a career-low tournament finish ... turned in a 76 in the second round of the MCI, tied for her second-best career-low round
2020-21
Played in six events with 13 rounds of golf and an 86.00 average and a top 15 finish ... produced a career-low 75 in the third round of Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship on the way to a career-low 72-hole total of 242 and a 15th place finish, had 76 in the first round ... also had a top 16 finish at the Montevallo Full Moon with a 77 in the first round ... after three seasons, Vargas has the 10th lowest career scoring average and has the ninth most birdies (39).
2019-20
Played in 12 rounds and six tournaments this season ... held a season scoring average of 84.83, down a stroke from last season ... shot her season-low score of 76 in the second round of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Fall Invitational where she helped the Trojans to a fourth-place finish ... her best finish of the season, t-12th also cam at the G-MAC Fall Invitational where she collected a 78-76=154 ... the 2019-20 spring season was shortened due to the Co-VID 19 outbreak with the Trojans having completed two tournaments and set to compete in the SVSU Invitational in Lexington, KY on March 14-15.
2018-19
Played in 18 rounds and eight tournaments as a freshman ... shot her season-low of 80 in the second round of the Trevecca Music City Invitational ... finished the year with an 85.94 scoring average ... defeated her Union opponent to give the Trojans one point in the Greystone Cup Match Play.
HIGH SCHOOL NOTES
Played for coach J.W Holt at Warren Central High School in Manchester, TN ... finished in the top five of all nine tournaments played in her senior season ... won the Cookeville GC at the Golden Eagle Golf Club with her season-best 79 ... won the Bear Trace tournament at Cumberland Mountain ... also won at the Three Ridges Golf Course with an 80.
