2017-18

Birchfield appeared in 42 games and started in 12 ... finished with a .356 batting average going 29 for 127 ... she drove in nine runs, stole five bases and drew five walks ... led the Great Midwest Athletic Conference in pinch hit at bats (16) and pinch hits (6).

2016-17

Birchfield appeared in 42 games and started in 18 of those games … she finished with a .372 batting average going 29 for 78 … she drove in four runs and scored 22 runs during the season

HIGH SCHOOL NOTES

Birchfield, from Trenton, Ga., played for coach Tim Couch at the Silverdale Baptist Academy in Chattanooga …  the Silverdale team reached the 2015 TSSAA Sectionals … she helped lead her SBA team to runner-up finish in the 2016 TSSAA State Championship … and Birchfield earned 2015 & 2016 All-District honors while hitting .477 … played travel ball with fellow 2015 signee Raygn Hall on the Frost Falcons ... she batted .490 with the Falcons while finishing second at the 16U ASA Nationals in Salem, Va. and competed at the 16 ASA Nationals in Chattanooga, Tenn.  … she also played for Dade County High School, as a freshman and sophomore in Georgia … she was a 2014 All-Region second team selection and helped lead the team to the 2014 Georgia High School Association (GHSA) AA Elite Eight … in 2013 they were the GHSA AA State Champions ... she made the "A" Honor roll four consecutive years … Ali is a Future Business Leaders of America member and was a 2014 FBLA State Qualifier in desktop publishing

Her parents are Johnny Birchfield and Teresa Thomas.
